Yes, I have deliberately chosen a green coloured theme for this blog because green is for newbie! Not that the term newbie refers to my age. Quite the opposite-this wannabe blogger belongs to the age group known politely as the silver surfers!

Although not new to computers(my first one was an Atari way back in 1983!), I am just dipping my toes into the water as far as blogging and internet marketing is concerned.I have to admit that just getting as far as getting this blog hosted, setup and online has been a frustrating struggle at times. I know setting up a blog is supposed to be easy but when I was a child a mouse was something you set a trap for and a dashboard was part of your car!

Anyway, having got this far, I was thinking about what I would do with my blog and what I would blog about.

I am sure you too are fed up with being bombarded by slick websites and e-mails packed with confusing information,once-only offers and promises of instant wealth from the so-called gurus,who brag about how many thousands of dollars they make online in the time it takes you to drink your morning coffee!

It occurred to me that it might be refreshing,helpful, interesting or at least vaguely amusing to keep a running catalogue of my stumbling efforts to master the new skills that I am learning. In keeping a record of my progression (or lack of!) as a blogger and attempts to make some money online, it may be that some other newbie may avoid some of the potholes along the long road-and who knows, someone with more experience and knowledge may even stop to pull me out of one!…
