Google Adsense Drops Video Forward Adverts!

A few posts ago I wrote that I had just signed up with Videoforward.com a site where you can host any videos and get commission from google adsense ads when they are clicked by visitors to your video pages.
A few days later, Google suddenly announced that they would no longer be allowing adsense ads on such video-hosting sites! Here is a quote from google`s statement about the decision:-
“After reviewing our AdSense video units feature, which allows you to show YouTube content and ads on your pages, we’ve found that it hasn’t had the impact we had hoped for. As a result, we’ve decided to retire this feature at the end of April so we can focus our resources on other opportunities to help publishers earn from their sites.”
Quite what that means nobody is sure yet, but videoforward.com was quick to react by switching to clickbank ads instead of google adsense.
Clickbank, for those who don`t know, is the largest online marketplace for digital downloadable products.
So what this change means is that instead of earning small commissions from clicks on adsense ads, there is now a potential for larger income, if somebody viewing one of your videos on your videoforward page clicks through to clickbank and makes a purchase.
The second way of earning from videoforward is by having someone else sign up as a member through your affiliate link, and this is of course not affected by the change.
All in all, I think this change could be beneficial to videoforward members. We will just have to wait and see!
