Build Your Subscriber List, Stupid!

“The Money Is In The List” is a marketing mantra that you read and hear about all the time online. It may be a cliche and there may be some variations of it like “The Money is In Your Relationship With Your List” but the basic truth is that without a subscriber list you are probably not going to make a reliable, consistant income from your online business.
The simple fact is that the really succesful marketers all have large subscriber lists. How do they get those lists? In most cases they build their lists patiently over time using blogs and websites, join giveaways, where marketers get together to offer free gifts in exchange for names and email addresses, form joint venture partnerships with other marketers to take advantage of the partners list etc etc.
Basically you have to give something away as an incentive to get a potential customer to opt-in to your list. The most important thing you need to do is have an opt-in form displayed on your blog to entice the reader with your freebie.
Now I have known this for some time but guess what?..up to now I never had an opt-in form directly on my blog! Duh! How`s that for an admission of stupidity?
Anyway I have now corrected that mistake and have put an opt-in form here on this blog with the excellent Newbie Toolkits products by Kevin Riley as the lure to get sign-ups. I am giving away 3 different Newbie Toolkits actually. They are:
1. THE NEWBIE TOOLKIT: How To Build And Upload Your First Website
2. THE NEWBIE TOOLKIT: How To Register And Host Your First Domain
3. THE NEWBIE TOOLKIT: How To Get And Promote Your First Affiliate Products
These are great guides to get beginners up & running….. and you can also sign up as an affiliate to promote these Newbie Toolkits and start earning commissions!
So there we have it. It took some time but I am finally starting to build my list (hopefully!)
